Where these came from

These come from 17 different sources, led by mzv.gov.cz (110), the Polish Ministry of Justice (36) and the Romanian Ministry of Justice (24). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Czech turns up in 23 countries rather than only where Czech is spoken.

Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.

Where we have nothing

We list translators in 245 further cities with no Czech speaker recorded, among them Oslo (652), Rosario (593), Prague (410) and Tunis (155). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Czech.

Questions

How many Czech-speaking translators does this page list?
250, in 77 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
Where are most of them?
Bucharest with 24, Zagreb with 18 and Rome with 17. Together that is 24% of the page.
Does a listing mean the translator speaks Czech personally?
Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Czech speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
