Where these came from

These come from 20 different sources, led by Norway's national interpreter register (IMDi) (54), the Dutch register of sworn interpreters and translators (Rbtv, Bureau Wbtv) (36) and the Romanian Ministry of Justice (35). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Polish turns up in 21 countries rather than only where Polish is spoken.

Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.

Where we have nothing

We list translators in 270 further cities with no Polish speaker recorded, among them Warsaw (1482), Madrid (767), Krakow (607) and Rosario (593). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Polish.

Questions

How many Polish-speaking translators does this page list?
254, in 52 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
Where are most of them?
Oslo with 48, Bucharest with 35 and Helsinki with 15. Together that is 39% of the page.
Does a listing mean the translator speaks Polish personally?
Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Polish speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
