This page lists every city where we can point at a source saying a translator works in Turkish. If you know a provider that belongs here, tell us and include where the language is stated.
Where these came from
These come from 18 different sources, led by the Romanian Ministry of Justice (58), the Dutch register of sworn interpreters and translators (Rbtv, Bureau Wbtv) (43) and Austria's Ministry of Justice (court interpreter list) (40). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Turkish turns up in 21 countries rather than only where Turkish is spoken.
Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.
Where we have nothing
We list translators in 285 further cities with no Turkish speaker recorded, among them Madrid (767), São Paulo (763), Rosario (593) and Wrocław (274). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Turkish.
Questions
- How many Turkish-speaking translators does this page list?
- 234, in 37 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
- Where are most of them?
- Bucharest with 58, Oslo with 39 and Vienna with 26. Together that is 53% of the page.
- Does a listing mean the translator speaks Turkish personally?
- Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Turkish speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
