Where these came from

These come from 14 different sources, led by the Polish Ministry of Justice (41), the Romanian Ministry of Justice (22) and the Croatian Ministry of Justice, Administration and Digital Transformation (9). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Swedish turns up in 16 countries rather than only where Swedish is spoken.

Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.

Where we have nothing

We list translators in 290 further cities with no Swedish speaker recorded, among them Madrid (767), São Paulo (763), Rosario (593) and Helsinki (373). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Swedish.
