This page lists every city where we can point at a source saying a translator works in Lithuanian. If you know a provider that belongs here, tell us and include where the language is stated.
Where these came from
These come from 10 different sources, led by Norway's national interpreter register (IMDi) (23), the Polish Ministry of Justice (17) and the UK Foreign Office's Find a professional service abroad (3). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Lithuanian turns up in 10 countries rather than only where Lithuanian is spoken.
Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.
Where we have nothing
We list translators in 302 further cities with no Lithuanian speaker recorded, among them Buenos Aires (3327), Zagreb (806), Madrid (767) and Krakow (607). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Lithuanian.
Questions
- How many Lithuanian-speaking translators does this page list?
- 54, in 20 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
- Where are most of them?
- Oslo with 22, Warsaw with 7 and Poznań with 4. Together that is 61% of the page.
- Does a listing mean the translator speaks Lithuanian personally?
- Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Lithuanian speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
