Where these came from

These come from 12 different sources, led by the Romanian Ministry of Justice (39), the UK Foreign Office's Find a professional service abroad (6) and the Czech Ministry of Justice (5). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Hebrew turns up in 14 countries rather than only where Hebrew is spoken.

Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.

Where we have nothing

We list translators in 301 further cities with no Hebrew speaker recorded, among them Madrid (767), Oslo (652), Krakow (607) and Rosario (593). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Hebrew.

Questions

How many Hebrew-speaking translators does this page list?
71, in 21 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
Where are most of them?
Bucharest with 39, Buenos Aires with 4 and Prague with 3. Together that is 65% of the page.
Does a listing mean the translator speaks Hebrew personally?
Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Hebrew speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
