By service

Where these came from

These come from 26 different sources, led by the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Hamburg, Hamburg's statutory doctors' association (24), the Icelandic Bar Association (24) and the Polish Ministry of Justice (20). Consular lists are the reason a language turns up far from where it is spoken: a mission publishes the doctors and lawyers its own citizens can talk to, which is a language claim someone else made in public and we can point at.

Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.

What this page is not

The coverage is not even across services: lawyers account for 47 of the 120, while dentists account for 3. That reflects which professions get published in language-tagged lists, not which ones exist.

Questions

How many Norwegian-speaking providers are listed?
120, in 32 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source, not an estimate of how many exist.
Where is Norwegian easiest to find?
Reykjavik with 29, Hamburg with 24 and Warsaw with 8. Together that is 51% of this page.
Does a listing mean the provider speaks Norwegian personally?
Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Norwegian speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used so you can judge it.
