This page lists every city where we can point at a source saying a translator works in Slovak. If you know a provider that belongs here, tell us and include where the language is stated.
Where these came from
These come from 11 different sources, led by the Polish Ministry of Justice (27), Austria's Ministry of Justice (court interpreter list) (16) and the Romanian Ministry of Justice (15). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Slovak turns up in 12 countries rather than only where Slovak is spoken.
Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.
Where we have nothing
We list translators in 296 further cities with no Slovak speaker recorded, among them Buenos Aires (3327), Madrid (767), São Paulo (763) and Oslo (652). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Slovak.
Questions
- How many Slovak-speaking translators does this page list?
- 92, in 26 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
- Where are most of them?
- Bucharest with 15, Krakow with 15 and Vienna with 14. Together that is 48% of the page.
- Does a listing mean the translator speaks Slovak personally?
- Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Slovak speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
