This page lists every city where a published source says a provider works in Estonian. If you know a provider that belongs here, tell us and include where the language is stated.
Where these came from
These come from 16 different sources, led by the Finnish National Agency for Education (authorised translators) (20), the UK Foreign Office's travel advice (13) and the UK Foreign Office's Find a professional service abroad (3). Consular lists are the reason a language turns up far from where it is spoken: a mission publishes the doctors and lawyers its own citizens can talk to, which is a language claim someone else made in public and we can point at.
47 of the 53 sit on an official list; the rest rest on the provider saying so or on a directory listing, and each card says which.
What this page is not
The coverage is not even across services: translators account for 28 of the 53, while lawyers account for 4. That reflects which professions get published in language-tagged lists, not which ones exist.
Questions
- How many Estonian-speaking providers are listed?
- 53, in 14 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source, not an estimate of how many exist.
- Where is Estonian easiest to find?
- Helsinki with 19, Tallinn with 18 and Prague with 3. Together that is 75% of this page.
- Does a listing mean the provider speaks Estonian personally?
- Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include an Estonian speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used so you can judge it.
