Where these came from

These come from 9 different sources, led by the Czech Ministry of Justice (25), Norway's national interpreter register (IMDi) (18) and the Polish Ministry of Justice (15). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Vietnamese turns up in 9 countries rather than only where Vietnamese is spoken.

Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.

Where we have nothing

We list translators in 308 further cities with no Vietnamese speaker recorded, among them Buenos Aires (3327), Zagreb (806), Madrid (767) and São Paulo (763). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Vietnamese.

Questions

How many Vietnamese-speaking translators does this page list?
77, in 14 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
Where are most of them?
Oslo with 18, Prague with 15 and Warsaw with 13. Together that is 60% of the page.
Does a listing mean the translator speaks Vietnamese personally?
Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Vietnamese speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
