Where these came from

These come from 10 different sources, led by the Estonian Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs (8), the Polish Ministry of Justice (5) and Kammarkollegiet, Sweden's authority for authorised translators (4). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Finnish turns up in 10 countries rather than only where Finnish is spoken.

Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.

Where we have nothing

We list translators in 307 further cities with no Finnish speaker recorded, among them Bucharest (5585), Buenos Aires (3327), Zagreb (806) and Madrid (767). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Finnish.

Questions

How many Finnish-speaking translators does this page list?
27, in 15 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
Where are most of them?
Tallinn with 7, Stockholm with 3 and Warsaw with 3. Together that is 48% of the page.
Does a listing mean the translator speaks Finnish personally?
Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Finnish speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
