Where these came from

These come from 7 different sources, led by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (25), the UK Foreign Office's Find a professional service abroad (5) and Norway's national interpreter register (IMDi) (3). Consular lists are the reason a language turns up far from where it is spoken: a mission publishes the doctors and lawyers its own citizens can talk to, which is a language claim someone else made in public and we can point at.

37 of the 38 sit on an official list; the rest rest on the provider saying so or on a directory listing, and each card says which.

What this page is not

The coverage is not even across services: doctors account for 17 of the 38, while translators account for 5. That reflects which professions get published in language-tagged lists, not which ones exist.

Questions

How many Burmese-speaking providers are listed?
38, in 17 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source, not an estimate of how many exist.
Where is Burmese easiest to find?
Tokyo with 8, Kumamoto with 4 and Yangon with 4. Together that is 42% of this page.
Does a listing mean the provider speaks Burmese personally?
Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Burmese speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used so you can judge it.
