Where these came from

These come from 6 different sources, led by the Polish Ministry of Justice (5), the Turkish Ministry of Justice (5) and the Czech Ministry of Justice (3). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Georgian turns up in 6 countries rather than only where Georgian is spoken.

Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.

Where we have nothing

We list translators in 311 further cities with no Georgian speaker recorded, among them Bucharest (5585), Buenos Aires (3327), Zagreb (806) and Madrid (767). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Georgian.

Questions

How many Georgian-speaking translators does this page list?
19, in 11 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
Where are most of them?
Warsaw with 4, Trabzon with 3 and Amsterdam with 2. Together that is 47% of the page.
Does a listing mean the translator speaks Georgian personally?
Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Georgian speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
