Where these came from

These come from 9 different sources, led by the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Hamburg, Hamburg's statutory doctors' association (47), the Psychotherapeutenkammer NRW, the statutory psychotherapists' chamber of North Rhine-Westphalia (28) and the Psychologists' Commission (ComPsy), Belgium's federal body for the title of psychologist (9). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Spanish turns up in 8 countries rather than only where Spanish is spoken.

Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.

Where we have nothing

We list therapists in 113 further cities with no Spanish speaker recorded, among them Paris (54), Vienna (27), Barcelona (21) and New York (21). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Spanish.

Hamburg with 47, Cologne with 23 and Brussels with 8. Together that is 84% of the page.

Does a listing mean the therapist speaks Spanish personally?

Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Spanish speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
