Where these came from

These come from 12 different sources, led by an Italian consulate (33), the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Hamburg, Hamburg's statutory doctors' association (13) and the Psychotherapeutenkammer NRW, the statutory psychotherapists' chamber of North Rhine-Westphalia (10). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Italian turns up in 8 countries rather than only where Italian is spoken.

Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.

Where we have nothing

We list therapists in 112 further cities with no Italian speaker recorded, among them Düsseldorf (119), Vienna (27), New York (21) and Milan (19). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Italian.
