Chinese-speaking pharmaciesChinese-speaking pharmacies, city by city
132 pharmacies that work in Chinese, in 16 cities across 2 countries. Seoul (63), Tokyo (27) and Osaka (10) hold 76% of them between them.
Showing all 16 cities.
Japan69 in 15 cities

South Korea63 in 1 city
Nothing matches that combination.
This page lists every city where we can point at a source saying a pharmacy works in Chinese. If you know a provider that belongs here, tell us and include where the language is stated.
Where these came from
These come from 3 different sources, led by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (69), Seoul's open data portal (52) and Korea's public data portal (11). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Chinese turns up in 2 countries rather than only where Chinese is spoken.
Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.
Where we have nothing
We list pharmacies in 18 further cities with no Chinese speaker recorded, among them Matsumoto (16), Kumamoto (11), Nagasaki (9) and Takamatsu (8). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Chinese.
Questions
- How many Chinese-speaking pharmacies does this page list?
- 132, in 16 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
- Where are most of them?
- Seoul with 63, Tokyo with 27 and Osaka with 10. Together that is 76% of the page.
- Does a listing mean the pharmacy speaks Chinese personally?
- Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Chinese speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
