Where these came from

These come from 9 different sources, led by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (314), a Korean embassy or consulate (78) and the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Hamburg, Hamburg's statutory doctors' association (4). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Korean turns up in 11 countries rather than only where Korean is spoken.

402 of the 405 sit on an official list; the rest rest on the provider saying so or on a directory listing, and each card says which.

Where we have nothing

We list doctors in 365 further cities with no Korean speaker recorded, among them Graz (581), Athens (161), Seoul (122) and Vienna (92). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Korean.

Questions

How many Korean-speaking doctors does this page list?
405, in 38 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
Where are most of them?
Tokyo with 111, Osaka with 107 and Fukuoka with 25. Together that is 60% of the page.
Does a listing mean the doctor speaks Korean personally?
Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Korean speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
