Where these came from

These come from 14 different sources, led by the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Hamburg, Hamburg's statutory doctors' association (54), the Ärztekammer für Steiermark, Styria's statutory doctors' chamber (7) and a United States embassy or consulate (5). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Arabic turns up in 13 countries rather than only where Arabic is spoken.

88 of the 89 sit on an official list; the rest rest on the provider saying so or on a directory listing, and each card says which.

Where we have nothing

We list doctors in 385 further cities with no Arabic speaker recorded, among them Osaka (1015), Nagoya (770), Fukuoka (745) and Sapporo (470). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Arabic.

Questions

How many Arabic-speaking doctors does this page list?
89, in 18 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
Where are most of them?
Hamburg with 54, Graz with 7 and Dakar with 5. Together that is 74% of the page.
Does a listing mean the doctor speaks Arabic personally?
Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include an Arabic speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
