This page lists every city where we can point at a source saying a dentist works in Korean. If you know a provider that belongs here, tell us and include where the language is stated.
Where these came from
These come from 4 different sources, led by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (254), a Korean embassy or consulate (15) and the City of Leipzig (1). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Korean turns up in 9 countries rather than only where Korean is spoken.
Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.
Where we have nothing
We list dentists in 166 further cities with no Korean speaker recorded, among them Hiroshima (170), Sendai (123), Seoul (58) and Kagoshima (47). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Korean.
Questions
- How many Korean-speaking dentists does this page list?
- 271, in 29 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
- Where are most of them?
- Osaka with 77, Tokyo with 62 and Fukuoka with 23. Together that is 60% of the page.
- Does a listing mean the dentist speaks Korean personally?
- Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Korean speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
