This page lists every city where we can point at a source saying a dentist works in Japanese. If you know a provider that belongs here, tell us and include where the language is stated.
Where these came from
These come from 10 different sources, led by Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (29), Korea's public data portal (12) and a Japanese embassy or consulate (7). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Japanese turns up in 22 countries rather than only where Japanese is spoken.
Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.
Where we have nothing
We list dentists in 166 further cities with no Japanese speaker recorded, among them Tokyo (1085), Osaka (722), Nagoya (514) and Fukuoka (464). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Japanese.
Questions
- How many Japanese-speaking dentists does this page list?
- 68, in 29 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
- Where are most of them?
- Seoul with 11, Singapore with 7 and Daegu with 6. Together that is 35% of the page.
- Does a listing mean the dentist speaks Japanese personally?
- Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Japanese speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
