Where these came from

These come from 5 different sources, led by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (353), chiangmaidental.com (2) and Korea's public data portal (2). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Chinese turns up in 3 countries rather than only where Chinese is spoken.

357 of the 360 sit on an official list; the rest rest on the provider saying so or on a directory listing, and each card says which.

Where we have nothing

We list dentists in 170 further cities with no Chinese speaker recorded, among them Matsuyama (116), Kagoshima (47), Athens (44) and Tbilisi (43). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Chinese.

Questions

How many Chinese-speaking dentists does this page list?
360, in 25 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
Where are most of them?
Tokyo with 140, Osaka with 68 and Nagoya with 36. Together that is 68% of the page.
Does a listing mean the dentist speaks Chinese personally?
Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Chinese speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
