Where these came from

These come from 19 different sources, led by a German diplomatic mission (20), a German diplomatic mission (15) and a German diplomatic mission (14). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why German turns up in 18 countries rather than only where German is spoken.

Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.

Where we have nothing

We list therapists in 97 further cities with no German speaker recorded, among them Hamburg (921), Cologne (368), Düsseldorf (119) and Münster (90). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in German.

Does a listing mean the therapist speaks German personally?

Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a German speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
