Where these came from

These come from 6 different sources, led by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (3), Seoul's open data portal (2) and a United States embassy or consulate (2). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why French turns up in 5 countries rather than only where French is spoken.

Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.

Where we have nothing

We list pharmacies in 27 further cities with no French speaker recorded, among them Osaka (55), Kobe (48), Fukuoka (39) and Nagoya (37). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in French.

Questions

How many French-speaking pharmacies does this page list?
10, in 7 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
Where are most of them?
Seoul with 3, Kigali with 2 and Hanoi with 1. Together that is 60% of the page.
Does a listing mean the pharmacy speaks French personally?
Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a French speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
