Where these came from

These come from 9 different sources, led by the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Hamburg, Hamburg's statutory doctors' association (135), a German diplomatic mission (18) and Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (10). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Turkish turns up in 9 countries rather than only where Turkish is spoken.

Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.

Where we have nothing

We list doctors in 392 further cities with no Turkish speaker recorded, among them Osaka (1015), Fukuoka (745), Sapporo (470) and Kyoto (385). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Turkish.

Questions

How many Turkish-speaking doctors does this page list?
174, in 11 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
Where are most of them?
Hamburg with 135, Baku with 18 and Tokyo with 7. Together that is 92% of the page.
Does a listing mean the doctor speaks Turkish personally?
Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Turkish speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
