Where these came from

These come from 4 different sources, led by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (32), the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Hamburg, Hamburg's statutory doctors' association (3) and the UK Foreign Office's travel advice (2). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Thai turns up in 4 countries rather than only where Thai is spoken.

Every one of these sits on an official list, published by a body with nothing to sell.

Where we have nothing

We list doctors in 390 further cities with no Thai speaker recorded, among them Graz (581), Kyoto (385), Hiroshima (315) and Matsuyama (213). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Thai.

Questions

How many Thai-speaking doctors does this page list?
38, in 13 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
Where are most of them?
Tokyo with 11, Osaka with 9 and Fukuoka with 3. Together that is 61% of the page.
Does a listing mean the doctor speaks Thai personally?
Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include a Thai speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
