Where these came from

These come from 5 different sources, led by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (41), the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Hamburg, Hamburg's statutory doctors' association (2) and samitivejhospitals.com (1). A consular list records the language because the mission publishes it for its own citizens, which is why Indonesian turns up in 4 countries rather than only where Indonesian is spoken.

44 of the 46 sit on an official list; the rest rest on the provider saying so or on a directory listing, and each card says which.

Where we have nothing

We list doctors in 386 further cities with no Indonesian speaker recorded, among them Graz (581), Sapporo (470), Kyoto (385) and Matsuyama (213). That is a gap in what has been published, not proof that nobody there works in Indonesian.

Questions

How many Indonesian-speaking doctors does this page list?
46, in 17 cities. That is the number whose working language we can trace to a published source.
Where are most of them?
Tokyo with 13, Osaka with 9 and Fukuoka with 3. Together that is 54% of the page.
Does a listing mean the doctor speaks Indonesian personally?
Not always. Some sources name a practice whose staff include an Indonesian speaker rather than the named person, and each card quotes the wording its source used.
